KITCHENER-Cineplex Entertainment chose Christie\'s digital as its exclusive supplier of digital projectors for cinemas.
Cineplex, Canada\'s largest cinema operator, has installed more than 129 Christie projectors with 1,344 cinemas and 450 screens.
On Wednesday, the company said it would install more than 900 projectors in the next 18 months.
Christie produces projectors at a factory in northern Wellington Street in kidina.
Ellis Jacob, Cineplex president and chief executive, said in a press release: \"Christie\'s projectors provide the clearest images on the screen so that our guests can

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

This is a joint venture between the two film companies.
The company said the deal with Cineplex would not directly result in Christie\'s hiring more staff.
However, Christie\'s said that it has increased its staff over the past three years due to the business it has won.
Christie\'s employs 700 employees at the factory and office in Wellington Street and at a smaller facility in Trillium Drive.
Cineplex will use a range of Christie\'s projectors, including its new 4 k projectors that produce twice as fast images as previous digital projectors.
