different types of projector screens

There are different types of projector screens on the market.
However, the best results can only be achieved if a particular type of projector matches the corresponding projector screen.
The projector screen is usually classified according to the light reflection properties of the screen material.
This article outlines the different screens available under this category.
Diffuse screens: These types of screens reflect the light of the whole place, so that people sitting in the whole room will see images of the same quality.
The full projector screen is illuminated evenly, showing images with equal brightness from various angles within the screen projection cone.
However, as the light is scattered in all directions, the total brightness of the image decreases.
The gain of these screens is usually 1, which means that they reflect the same amount of light as the standard whiteboard.
Reflective screen: when you need to use the projector screen where you are in high ambient light, you must use the reflective screen.
These screens reflect light like mirrors, so should not be used with the back end projector.
They work well on any front end projector, and the projector has a higher gain, usually 2.
This reflective screen is best suited for projectors mounted on the ceiling, as they can reflect images on narrow viewing angles.
Since these screens have a high yield, their viewing angle is relatively small than that of diffusion screens of similar quality. Retro-
Reflective screens: These screens are used most when the environment is light. Retro-
The reflective screen is designed to directly reflect the incoming light back to the light source and has a high projector gain.
However, these types of screens do not recommend projectors for ceiling installation, as the light reflects back to the projector and the image quality of the audience sitting in front of the projector screen decreases.
They provide better performance with portable desktop projectors.
Back projection screens: These screens are used with back projection projectors and can be used under all conditions.
Since the image source is located on the back of the screen, the quality is not affected by the amount of ambient light.
The gain of these screens is very high, usually 6, to produce high-quality images even in bright conditions.
The rear projection screen is much more expensive than the front screen, so professional use is only recommended.
In addition, the diffuse and reflective projector screen can easily provide high-quality images for gatherings of 25 to 30 people.
